Join an incredible team in a transformative leadership role as the Area Executive Director at the premier treatment center and clinics in the area!

We are in search of an accomplished leader with a proven track record in revitalizing organizational culture, that is dedicated to fostering a positive and empowering environment for children and young adults facing mental health challenges. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead and transform multiple East locations for a multi-site behavioral health provider, within a network of 15 states, providing comprehensive care for those struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse and other mental health issues.

This position will be located onsite in the Rockville, MD area. Compensation for the position is anticipated to be approximately $135,000-$150,000+.

What You’ll Do:

The Area Executive Director will be a compassionate leader and help drive premier care through:

  • Oversight of multiple locations (in some instances, multiple markets) and leadership of a team of multiple program leaders in the Washington, DC area that includes IOP/PHP clinics.
  • Scale, replicate, and be accountable to best-in-class clinical, operational, people, and growth results.
  • Demonstrate a wide range of leadership and be able to telescope from executive presentations, to engaging community leaders, to being in the front-line and engaging clinicians and entry-level teammates all in a day.
  • Be able to unearth opportunities with patient and teammate experience, present and defend solutions, and influence and operationalize systematic changes.
  • Opportunity to foster relationships with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families, create joy in their lives, and heal generations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • MS in Behavioral Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a healthcare multi-site entity with P&L ownership.
  • Experience leading a team of 50+ employees.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in the mental health or healthcare field, with a notable ability to revitalize organizational culture.
  • Experience in a people-first, results- and metric-driven growth environment.
  • Knowledge of local legislative and compliance landscape, macroeconomics and industry trends, and key healthcare systems and referral partners.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills, including the ability to recruit and develop leaders.

Ideal Experience:

  • At least 5 years of similar leadership experience in a mental health field.
  • Strong preference for Washington, DC, Virginia, or Maryland licensed clinicians (LMFT, LCSW, LCPC, LMHC, LPCC, LPC, Ph.D, Psy.D).
  • Masters in a Behavioral Health branch, MBA, and/or MHA strongly preferred.
