What You'll Do:
This position functions as the bridge that connects insights, ideas and design executions. Stays in tune with emerging technologies and partner resources that should be considered by the business. Continually works with users and key stakeholders to maintain an understanding of the marketplace and where new innovative ideas can help drive a better client experience and add value. This is a strategic and tactical role.

  • Acts as the key liaison across assigned functional areas, including business units, Business Technology department, and outside vendors.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact in the development of integrated business and technology investments for Compeer to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Assists departments with exploring and defining business case criteria that support company initiatives.
  • Researches a variety of information system technology solutions based on business and client needs.
  • Informs and advises the business on information system technologies’ functionality, costs, benefits and implementation requirements to solve business problems.
  • Partners with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities, identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance, regulatory).
  • Evaluates the applicability and usefulness of current solutions.
  • Participates in strategic and budgetary planning processes.
  • Understands key marketplace strategies and goals.
  • Provides recommendations on policies and desired goals.
  • Works with Innovation team to conduct market research to identify business trends and assumptions that may affect the Business Technology strategy and introduce new technologies and vendors to business units and the department.
  • Connects with external clients to gain insight into their use and application of Compeer products and services and how technology can meet client needs.
  • Participates in field research in pursuit of new solutions. Identifies, screens and evaluates new solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) client needs.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, computer science, business management, management information systems, information systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 7+ years of experience with defining and leading business strategies and a broad range of exposure to technology solutions, including the development and execution of strategic initiatives and projects. Experience working in a financial services environment is desired.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong business process focus and planning skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Ability to think tactically and strategically when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects with indirect supervision.
  • Working knowledge of developer resources, SSRS, document management configurations, client relationship management (CRM) best practices and platform integrations.
