Our Partner is hiring a Database Architect for a 6-month project. The Database Architect plans, designs, implements, supports, and maintains the technical foundation of the enterprise business system.  Provides Oracle and MS-SQL technical support administration services to include system updates and troubleshooting as needed. 

What you’ll do:

• Support systems environment at the database level including all landscapes and connected peripheral systems.
• Ensure critical business system operation for all Oracle and MS-SQL databases.
• Protect all systems with proper security and backup practices.
• Perform Oracle and MS-SQL installations, upgrades, migrations, and restores as needed.
• Perform periodic disaster recovery testing.
• Perform data refreshes from production to QA systems, or development to sandbox.
• Satisfy internal and external audit requirements.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong Oracle and MS-SQL skills (including SQL and PL/SQL).
• Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating system environments.
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Willingness to work on projects and problems during off hours, weekends, and possibly holidays.
• Willingness to address production down issues 24/7
