Lead Software Engineer | E-Commerce

Our partner (located just outside of Boston, MA) is looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer | E-Commerce.  The team is seeking a talented, innovative, software engineering professional who is excited to work in a rapidly evolving environment delivering high quality updates to their industry leading website and ECommerce products on a consistent and frequent basis. You will master the agile development process, techniques, and technology, as well as write scalable, maintainable, secure, efficient, and elegant code. You will participate in a collaborative and highly cross-functional team to maintain, enhance, and extend our products. We are looking for candidates who have a true passion for technology and enjoy continually sharpening their skills.


What you’ll do:

  • Play a key role in the evolving development of Website and eCommerce platforms
  • Integrate with 3rd party APIs including OneSource, Stripe, Twillo, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and InterFax
  • Develop frontend platform functionality using jQuery and other JavaScript libraries
  • Create backend and frontend unit tests to support the stability of your features and functionality
  • Master agile development process, techniques, and technology
  • Focus on app usability, scalability, stability, security, and performance
  • Perform code deployments of new features and fixes


What you’ll bring:

  • BS/ Masters in Computer Science or a related field
  • 8+ years of enterprise software development experience, eCommerce experience preferred
  • Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL skills
  • MySQL, JQuery, LESS experience beneficial
  • Experience developing software hosted on an AWS platform and/or migrating software to an AWS hosted environment is a plus
