This position is full-time, direct hire and based onsite in Menomonee Falls, WI.
What You'll Do:
The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely within the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team and develop, implement, and improve the processes across the manufacturing floor. This role is a link between Design Engineering and the production floor by providing manufacturing expertise during concurrent development of new products, and processing changes to existing products. This role is key in maintaining production capability, improving quality, reducing cost, improving safety, and maximizing throughout. Manufacturing Engineers II and III are responsible for leading projects with greater scope and responsibility, while also playing a larger role in communication across team members and management.
This role is open to either mid-career Engineers with 3+ years of experience (level II), or Senior Engineers with at least 5+ years of experience (level III).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Process Planning
Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. This role will manage the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes effect on line balance, pFMEA, and the line efficiency.
Use advanced understanding of Lean Concepts and Continuous Improvement needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes.
Production Floor Support
Lead, initiate and execute problem solving methods that address system issues, with expert use of A3, I5 and other Kaizen initiatives.
Support several manufacturing processes with a deep understanding of functionality within areas, as well as opportunities for improvement (product lines, processes and manufacturing functions).
Cost Savings / Quality Improvement
Lead and initiate measures that mitigate risk within the manufacturing process, including actions such as pFMEA analysis, maintaining ISO compliance, and quality networks.
Concurrent Development
Lead design responsibilities within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, part flow management, tooling needs, and management of New Production Introduction standards.
Manage the Machine Build Milestone Approval documentation associated with launch projects.
Act as lead manufacturing liaison within Core Teams.
Leadership
Provide leadership to a team of individuals that may be internal or external to the department, and provide guidance as needed.
Develop meeting agendas, effectively lead meetings, and maintain action lists across team members.
What You'll Bring:
BS in Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related Engineering program. Master's Degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3+ years of design engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience within Construction or Industrial Equipment ideal.
Proficiency in CAD, Excel and Access.
Experience with Pro-E and ERP systems, as well as an understanding of production processes and concepts is preferred.
