Mechanical Engineer - Specialty Chemicals - Extrusion & Pellet Milling

– Fulltime, direct hire Mechanical Engineer onsite in Windsor, WI 
– 5+ years experience in manufacturing design and improvement, as well as manufacturing line troubleshooting.
– Compensation for this position is anticipated to be approximately $75,000 – $85,000 annually.
                        
What You’ll Do:
The Mechanical Engineer will be a key part of the Engineering team and provide engineering floor support for extrusion and pellet milling manufacturing areas, as well as document existing processes, and work on process improvements to increase equipment efficiencies. The Mechanical Engineer will help set the standards for innovation and creating quality products in the industry. Key responsibilities and activities include:

What You’ll Do:

 
  • Evaluate existing processes and equipment to determine ways to improve yields, increase throughput, and improve product quality.
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data to provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
  • Support manufacturing management by working collaboratively with them to resolve production workflow and equipment issues .
  • Develop and document process mapping for manufacturing lines. Write standard operating procedures for processes, conducts training of maintenance and production personnel.
  • Work with manufacturing team to collect, analyze, and report production trends and efficiencies.
  • Support maintenance to help solve manufacturing and other equipment issues and problems.
  • Offer input to design engineering to improve the designs of existing products.
  • Design, specify, and procure tooling required for process or product development projects.

What You’ll Bring:
 

  • BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with automated material delivery systems preferred; basic knowledge of PLCs and electrical a plus.
  • Prior experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, or similar tools ideal.
