Carex is partnering with a biotech industry partner to identify a Project Manager with experience in finance, procurement, and supplier communications to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for driving projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining timelines and budgets. The position may be remote, with occasional travel to Madison and other locations as needed.
Duration: 6 months
Pay rate: $70-74/hr
Location: Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago
What You'll Do

Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure successful delivery within scope, timeline, and budget

Lead cross-functional initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and supplier management

Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and project plans

Drive best practices in project management and process improvement to support business objectives

Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle

Support procurement-related initiatives, including Source-to-Pay processes and technology implementations

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

Contribute to procurement transformation and digital enablement efforts where applicable
What You'll Bring

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement-focused business project management or process improvement roles

Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and Source-to-Pay processes

Experience working with procurement technologies; COUPA or Ariba experience preferred

Proven ability to lead cross-functional discussions and drive alignment across stakeholders

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both practitioners and leadership

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred

Experience supporting procurement transformation or digital enablement initiatives is a plus

Familiarity with supplier risk management, third-party due diligence, or compliance-driven procurement environments preferred

Experience working within a Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) or shared services model is a plus
