Carex's partner in Madison, WI is seeking a contracted Scrum Master. The SM manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple Disciplines in the IT Function. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. At senior levels may employ Scrum Master techniques in Agile development practices.
The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching self-organizing teams, facilitating the Scrum process, removing impediments and assessing and coaching the scrum team to continuously improve. Supports the Product Owners in executing according to the product backlog and maintain a healthy and creative process to deliver quality software.

? Facilitate Scrum processes and coach teams on how to use Scrum practices and methodology.
? Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement.
? Ensure interdependencies between scrum teams are addressed. Track and remove impediments that may prevent progress.
? Coach teams to improve in throughput and quality and Sprint goals and practice continuous improvement
? Ensure resource capacity planning, velocity measurement, and stability of resources. Anticipate challenges, identify risks and recommend mitigations and solutions.
? Coordinate and align deliverables with stated priorities of the Product Owner’s roadmap and technical dependencies.
? Collaborate with the Product Owner on release planning and backlog maintenance.
? Ensure tracking and visibility of team performance metrics.
? Coach leadership in creating an environment for team effectiveness.
? Ensure healthy team dynamics.
? Protect the team from outside interruptions.
? Escalate technical issues to IT leaders when they cannot be resolved within the time and budget needed to meet business objectives.
What you'll bring
? Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
? Solid knowledge and understanding of Agile and Lean methodologies, practices and tools
? Ability to coach Agile software development teams
? Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to align dependencies and deliverables
? Solid knowledge and understanding of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution and continuous improvement.
? Solid knowledge and understanding of SDLC and common technologies, architecture, and technical terminology
