Carex is partnering with a consumer products industry partner to hire a Sr. IT Project Manager – Data & Analytics Architecture and Reporting to lead a complex, global data and analytics initiative supporting a major business transformation. This role will own the delivery of an interim data architecture and the first wave of enterprise reporting, enabling secure data sharing, harmonized master data and hierarchies, and trusted reporting across two independent organizations.

This is a hands-on delivery ownership and program control role—not a passive coordination or status-reporting position. The Sr. IT Project Manager will own the integrated plan, critical path, cross-functional dependencies, operating cadence, risks, decisions, and report readiness from mobilization through release. A significant focus will be driving alignment on KPI definitions, hierarchy mappings, reporting calendars, and other business rules so that reporting is consistent and comparable across organizations and regions.

The successful candidate will operate independently in a highly complex, global, matrixed environment, partnering with business product leadership, data architecture and engineering teams, security and compliance, vendors, and regional stakeholders.

Location:  Remote
Pay Rate:  $80/hr + Carex Benefits
Duration:  6 months+

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end integrated project plan from mobilization through Wave 1 reporting release, including infrastructure, network, security, IAM, data platform enablement, master data mapping, pilots, testing, and report delivery.

  • Establish the project baseline, milestones, critical path, workstream ownership, and operating cadence, maintaining clear accountability against committed dates.

  • Own report readiness and release management, including entry and exit criteria, data validation and reconciliation, technical testing, business UAT, defect resolution, acceptance, deployment readiness, cutover, hypercare, and transition to ongoing support.

  • Maintain a report-level readiness view that clearly identifies deliverables that are on track, at risk, blocked, or ready for release.

  • Manage the critical path and proactively identify threats, recovery actions, and decisions required to protect committed milestones.

  • Drive dependencies across Cloud Infrastructure, Network, Enterprise Platforms, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Legal, Compliance, and ERP environments.

  • Facilitate KPI definition and hierarchy-mapping decisions across organizations, ensuring common reporting terminology has consistent rules, inclusions, units, calculations, and timing.

  • Drive resolution of differences in reporting calendars, close cycles, forecasting rhythms, master data, and organizational hierarchies.

  • Maintain disciplined scope control, protecting priority deliverables and routing additional requirements through established change-control processes.

  • Coordinate day-to-day delivery across vendor teams, internal SMEs, technical teams, business stakeholders, and regional leads without relying on direct reporting authority.

  • Maintain action, risk, issue, dependency, assumption, decision, and change logs with clear ownership, target dates, impacts, mitigation plans, and escalation paths.

  • Follow up persistently on overdue actions and missed commitments, identify capacity or resource constraints early, and escalate unresolved issues with recommended solutions.

  • Establish and run weekly workstream governance and executive reporting cadences, producing concise, decision-oriented materials covering milestones, critical-path health, risks, dependencies, overdue actions, resource concerns, and recovery plans.

  • Create and maintain executive-ready project documentation, including integrated plans, milestone baselines, action trackers, dependency maps, RAID logs, decision logs, change logs, meeting records, executive briefings, and readiness dashboards.

  • Maintain a reliable single source of truth with strong documentation standards, version control, and accessibility for stakeholders.

  • Within the first 30 days, baseline the integrated plan, validate scope and milestones, confirm workstream ownership, establish governance and action-management routines, identify critical-path threats, and recommend recovery actions for areas at risk.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of IT project management experience, including 4+ years leading data platform, business intelligence, analytics, or related programs within large global enterprises.

  • Hands-on project delivery experience involving an M&A integration, carve-out, or separation, with an understanding of Day 1 dependencies, transition constraints, and cross-company decision-making.

  • Demonstrated success delivering large, multi-team, multi-region technology initiatives against fixed, business-committed deadlines.

  • Proven ability to recover complex programs when schedules, dependencies, resources, or assumptions change.

  • Strong working knowledge of modern data architecture, including cloud lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks, BI tools, data pipelines, master data management, and data governance.

  • Direct experience harmonizing master data and hierarchies such as product, customer, vendor, or material data across systems or organizations.

  • Experience facilitating complex business decisions involving KPI definitions, hierarchy mappings, reporting standards, and competing stakeholder requirements.

  • Working familiarity with SOX control environments, security and IAM review gates, and ideally GxP requirements.

  • Strong executive presence with experience presenting to VP and C-level stakeholders, facilitating difficult decision meetings, and driving stakeholders toward timely resolution.

  • Exceptional program operating discipline, including the ability to independently establish governance routines, manage competing priorities, drive actions to completion, and escalate missed commitments appropriately.

  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, organization, and the ability to translate complex discussions into clear decisions, actions, owners, and deadlines.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent project-planning tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related collaboration and document-management platforms.

  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheet and/or Jira and the ability to develop executive scorecards, project dashboards, status reports, action trackers, and decision logs.

  • Experience in CPG or manufacturing environments is preferred.

  • Familiarity with reporting domains such as daily sales, market share, secondary sales, eCommerce POS, spend analytics, supply chain finance, or capital planning is preferred.

  • Prior experience working within an IMO, PMO, or SPMO structure is preferred.

  • SAP ECC and/or S/4 experience from an analytics or reporting perspective is preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and shifting priorities within a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment while bringing structure, accountability, and early visibility to risks and decisions.
