Carex is partnering with a biotech industry leader for a Senior Application Analyst opportunity in Madison, WI. This role will support and optimize digital manufacturing applications, with a primary focus on SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), Digital Manufacturing, and Quality Management. The Senior Application Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert, providing production support, leading application configuration and enhancements, guiding workflow design, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective technology solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, configure, upgrade, and improve business applications supporting manufacturing operations.
- Serve as the primary support contact for application end users, identifying and resolving production issues and technical challenges.
- Lead configuration, development, testing, and implementation of application changes and enhancements.
- Support SAP PPDS, Digital Manufacturing, and Quality Management capabilities within a manufacturing environment.
- Analyze business processes and operational needs to identify opportunities for workflow and technology improvements.
- Design and implement practical, scalable solutions to complex application and business problems.
- Create and maintain system documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Estimate enhancement and support requests and help establish scope, schedules, and quality expectations for software projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project leadership, software vendors, and cross-functional application teams to align business requirements with technology solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely status updates to key stakeholders.
- Provide end-user production support through issue-tracking and support processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and act as a delegate for leadership when addressing incidents or problem resolution.
- Lead or coordinate complex projects and assign or delegate configuration and other activities to team members.
- Mentor other analysts and provide guidance on technical and application-related challenges.
- Lead internal process design and documentation efforts that support continuous improvement.
- Participate in end-user training and develop materials to support application adoption.
- Communicate clearly with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Adapt to changing business needs, ambiguous situations, new information, and evolving technology requirements.
- Work nights and/or weekends when needed and travel approximately 5% of the time, including occasional overnight or weekend travel.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or a high school diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery role.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP PPDS, Digital Manufacturing, and Quality Management design and configuration.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP MM/PP design and configuration.
- Understanding of integration points between SAP PPDS, Digital Manufacturing, and Quality Management.
- Experience leading teams of analysts and directing the work of others.
- Experience leading complex projects and coordinating work across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and business process skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including internet navigation, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, cross-functional, and matrixed environment.
- Ability to take ownership of work, prioritize effectively, and consistently deliver accurate and timely results.
- Ability and willingness to learn new software applications and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Willingness and ability to work consistently onsite in Madison, WI, up to four days per week.
- Ability to travel between local work locations as needed.
