Carex is partnering with a electronic manufacturing industry partner to hire a Master Data Manager who will help build a new Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance capability from the ground up. This newly created role will play a key part in establishing how master data is managed, governed, and integrated across the organization.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule based Menasha, WI.

The Master Data Manager will define and implement the standards, policies, processes, and practices that form the foundation of the master data program. This role requires a builder who is comfortable creating structure in an evolving environment, partnering across business and technology teams, and translating data governance concepts into practical processes that drive adoption.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on Informatica experience, strong knowledge of master data management and data governance, and the ability to move effectively from strategy and recommendations to implementation. This is an opportunity to directly shape a new organizational capability and build a scalable foundation that can mature over time.

What You'll Do

  • Help design, establish, and evolve the Master Data Management and Data Governance framework.

  • Utilize Informatica to catalog, organize, and manage data in support of master data creation and governance.

  • Develop and implement master data standards, policies, processes, controls, and governance practices.

  • Establish sustainable processes for creating, maintaining, and governing master data records.

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand data needs and integrate master data practices into existing business processes.

  • Translate data governance principles and strategies into practical processes that can be effectively adopted across the organization.

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, usability, and governance.

  • Define roles, responsibilities, ownership models, standards, and controls associated with master data management.

  • Lead the implementation of new master data processes and support adoption across business and technology teams.

  • Build scalable frameworks and processes that can evolve as the Master Data Management capability matures.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for master data management and data governance.

  • Help establish and advance the roadmap for continued development of master data capabilities.

  • Bring structure to ambiguous requirements, make recommendations, challenge assumptions, and help stakeholders determine the appropriate path forward.

  • Build relationships across the organization and drive alignment around new data standards and governance practices.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Management, or a closely related field.

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica, particularly within data cataloging, data management, master data, or related capabilities.

  • Experience developing and implementing data governance standards, policies, processes, and controls.

  • Experience translating data management and governance concepts into practical business processes.

  • Strong understanding of data quality, data standards, data ownership, stewardship, and governance principles.

  • Experience partnering across business and technology teams to implement new processes and capabilities.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to independently create structure and establish processes in an environment where requirements and practices are still evolving.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Ability to balance technical considerations with the people, process, and adoption components required for successful data governance.

  • A builder mindset with the ability to take broad objectives, develop a thoughtful approach, gain stakeholder alignment, and translate that approach into sustainable operational practices.

  • Comfort working in an environment without an established playbook and helping shape a capability from its earliest stages.
