Carex is partnering with a Healthcare industry partner to identify an experienced analytics professional to lead the continuity and transformation of critical reporting and analytics capabilities during a transition from a legacy electronic health record (EHR) platform to Athenahealth. This role will serve as a central point of coordination across analytics, engineering, and business teams to ensure business-critical reporting remains intact while driving the rationalization, consolidation, and modernization of the broader analytics ecosystem.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of analytics strategy, business intelligence expertise, and cross-functional leadership experience. This individual will help assess current-state reporting assets, establish prioritization frameworks, guide future-state architecture decisions, and support continuous analytics deployment throughout the EHR transition.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the discovery, inventory, and assessment of existing Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and underlying data assets to understand dependencies, data flows, business usage, and reporting criticality.
- Evaluate current reporting capabilities against Athenahealth’s native analytics and reporting functionality to determine opportunities for replacement, integration, or continued independent support.
- Develop and implement structured decision-making frameworks to classify analytics assets for maintenance, consolidation, modernization, or retirement.
- Facilitate cross-functional prioritization efforts to balance operational continuity with long-term scalability and analytics maturity goals.
- Translate reporting and business requirements into data warehouse and data model recommendations, partnering closely with engineering teams to support architecture planning.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate redundant reports, datasets, and data pipelines while establishing consistent analytics standards and best practices.
- Serve as the central coordinator among analytics teams, data engineering, business stakeholders, and leadership to drive alignment on ownership, priorities, timelines, and key decisions.
- Support governance and oversight of reporting assets throughout the EHR transition to minimize disruption and ensure continuity.
- Identify opportunities to modernize the analytics environment by leveraging Athenahealth capabilities and enhancing the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
- Provide hands-on discovery and analysis support to inform strategic planning and transition execution.

- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data strategy, analytics product management, program management, or a related discipline.
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional analytics or data transformation initiatives.

- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern analytics platforms.
- Experience working with AWS Redshift or comparable cloud-based data warehouse technologies.

- Ability to drive structured decision-making and prioritization in complex, ambiguous environments.
- Experience working with healthcare data and EHR systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth and Athena Data View preferred.
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, or lineage solutions such as Microsoft Purview preferred.
