Carex is partnering with a geospatial data and mapping industry partner to hire an Enterprise Application Architect based in Madison, Wisconsin, in a hybrid capacity. This hands-on individual contributor will own and evolve a core enterprise technology stack including Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, and associated integrations.

This role will serve as the technical authority and primary owner of these platforms end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders across finance, operations, sales, product management, and technology. The Enterprise Application Architect will design, build, maintain, and continuously improve scalable systems, data platforms, integrations, and governance practices while balancing regional requirements with consistent global standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the global technical owner for Microsoft Dynamics, including CRM, Project Operations, and potentially additional ERP modules as the environment evolves.
  • Lead Dynamics configuration, customization, adoption, releases, upgrades, system health, and ongoing optimization across US and European operations.
  • Partner with sales, finance, product management, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Establish consistent Dynamics usage and data standards across regions to enable reliable, consolidated reporting.
  • Own the architecture and delivery of the Microsoft Fabric environment, including lakehouses, data pipelines, and semantic models.
  • Build and maintain dependable data flows from Dynamics, HubSpot, and other source systems into Microsoft Fabric to support reporting and analytics.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards, technical documentation, and data quality practices across regions.
  • Design and build Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reports that improve business operations and decision-making.
  • Enable self-service analytics while establishing appropriate governance and platform guardrails.
  • Own integrations between Dynamics and third-party systems, including HubSpot and other platforms as the technology stack evolves.
  • Manage SharePoint as an enterprise collaboration and document management platform, ensuring consistent structure, governance, and adoption.
  • Serve as the go-to technical authority for the Microsoft ecosystem, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, automate manual processes, strengthen data reliability, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Drive the global Microsoft platform roadmap in alignment with business priorities while balancing regional needs with consistent enterprise standards.
  • Coordinate with external implementation partners and technology vendors when additional expertise or delivery support is required.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, including CRM, F&O, or Business Central, and the broader Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable Microsoft data technologies such as Azure Data Factory or Synapse Analytics.
  • Strong Power BI capabilities spanning data modeling, semantic models, reporting, and dashboard delivery.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining system integrations using REST APIs, Dataverse connectors, iPaaS tools, or similar technologies.
  • Experience managing SharePoint environments at an organizational or enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a global, multi-entity environment with stakeholders across US and European time zones.
  • Ability to independently own enterprise systems end-to-end in a hands-on individual contributor capacity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and collaborate across cultures and functions.
  • Microsoft certifications in areas such as Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Azure Data Engineering are a plus.
  • Experience integrating HubSpot with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cross-border data governance and privacy requirements, including GDPR, is preferred.
  • Experience supporting finance or operations functions within an international SaaS or technology environment is beneficial.
