  • Job #6308

Carex is partnering with a Series A healthtech startup based out of NYC (hybrid/onsite) to hire an Enterprise Implementation Lead. This person will own the technical and operational delivery of complex health-system implementations from contract through go-live and post-launch value realization.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, highly accountable, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built. You can bring structure to ambiguity, move quickly across teams, and take ownership of getting customers successfully live. The right candidate brings deep familiarity with EHR pharmacy workflows, pharmacy IT, e-prescribing infrastructure, and healthcare data exchange, along with the ability to build trust with health-system stakeholders across pharmacy operations, IT, and clinical teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the technical and operational delivery of health-system pilots and full enterprise rollouts from closed contract through successful go-live.
  • Partner closely with sales to ensure a seamless handoff from the deal cycle into implementation and validate that contracted scope, timelines, and expected outcomes are achievable.
  • Coordinate resources across engineering, product, and support to keep implementations moving and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical integration issues involving Epic Willow, HL7v2 trigger interfaces, NCPDP standards, e-prescribing networks, PBMs, and health-system pharmacy data flows.
  • Lead change management within customer organizations, anticipating and addressing concerns related to benefit investigation, electronic prior authorization, patient financial assistance, medication routing, and pharmacy workflows.
  • Build trusted relationships with pharmacy operations, IT, clinical, and analyst teams while driving alignment around implementation objectives and success metrics.
  • Engage senior and executive stakeholders as appropriate and escalate strategic conversations when needed.
  • Establish clear implementation plans, timelines, checklists, processes, and operating rhythms that bring structure to complex deployments.
  • Track multiple technical, operational, and organizational workstreams simultaneously while ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Build and own a post-go-live value realization framework that demonstrates customer outcomes, supports ROI measurement, and enables future expansion opportunities.
  • Partner directly with product and engineering teams to translate implementation insights and customer needs into product and integration roadmap recommendations.
  • Continuously improve implementation methodology, documentation, and processes to make future pilots and enterprise deployments more efficient and predictable.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT delivery, implementation, professional services, or a related function.
  • Direct, hands-on experience leading enterprise health-system implementations from contract through go-live.
  • Demonstrated success personally driving cross-functional execution across engineering, product, support, and other internal teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Epic Willow or comparable EHR pharmacy modules.
  • Previous experience with Epic or an Epic-adjacent organization, preferred.
  • Familiarity with the workflows, technical constraints, and priorities of health-system Willow and Bridges/interface analysts.
  • Working knowledge of HL7v2 interfaces and NCPDP standards, including transaction formats such as NCPDP NewRx.
  • Familiarity with e-prescribing networks such as Surescripts and an understanding of PBM and pharmacy data flows.
  • Strong understanding of how prescriptions move across EHRs, pharmacies, PBMs, and e-prescribing networks and where integration challenges commonly arise.
  • Experience managing complex implementations involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and institutional dependencies within enterprise health systems.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with pharmacy operations, IT, clinical teams, and other health-system stakeholders.
  • A highly hands-on approach to implementation leadership, including proactively driving decisions, resolving blockers, and maintaining accountability across teams.
  • Strong organizational and project execution skills with the ability to create structure, processes, timelines, and documentation in ambiguous environments.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where implementation processes and delivery infrastructure are still being developed.
  • Experience building an implementation or delivery function from the ground up, or independently leading go-lives without a dedicated project manager, preferred.
  • Experience engaging executive-level health-system stakeholders such as Chief Pharmacy Officers, VPs of Pharmacy, CMIOs, or revenue cycle leaders, preferred.
  • Experience delivering both pilots and full enterprise rollouts, preferred.
  • Experience partnering directly with product and engineering teams to translate implementation learnings into roadmap decisions, preferred.
