Carex Consulting Group | Internal Hire | Madison, WI

Carex is growing, and we’re excited to add a Healthtech Recruiter to our internal team! This contract-to-hire position will be based in Madison, WI, with 1–2 days a week onsite for team collaboration.

We’re looking for a versatile, relationship-driven professional who loves connecting people, thrives on variety, and is excited to help grow our Healthtech practice. This isn’t a traditional recruiter role, and it’s not a traditional sales role either. It’s a combination of sourcing, recruiting, partner relationship management, and helping us grow the business through the relationships we’ve already built.

This is a junior-to-mid-level opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, highly organized, proactive, and excited to take on increasing ownership. Over time, you’ll become a primary point of contact for a small portfolio of healthtech partners, managing recruiting activity, communications, and ongoing account needs while collaborating closely with Healthtech leadership on strategy and growth.

At Carex, “Care. Be Real. Have Fun.” isn’t just a tagline — it’s how we work. We value ownership, curiosity, transparency, and trying new things (even when they don’t work the first time). No two days are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it.

Talent Sourcing & Recruiting

  • Proactively source, screen, and engage high-quality healthtech talent across engineering, product, implementation, customer success, sales, and other specialized roles.
  • Conduct thoughtful candidate interviews (video and phone), evaluating experience, motivations, and alignment with partner opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, Bullhorn, referrals, networking, and creative sourcing strategies.
  • Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruiting process, including interview preparation, feedback, follow-up, and offer support.
  • Proactively search and manage our candidate database, connecting great talent with new and evolving opportunities.
  • Use recruiting data, market insights, and pipeline metrics to prioritize searches and continuously improve results.

Partner Account Management & Growth

  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with existing healthtech partners, gradually taking ownership of day-to-day account management for an assigned portfolio.
  • Lead partner communications, including regular check-ins, recruiting updates, candidate feedback, interview coordination, and ongoing follow-up.
  • Conduct job intake meetings to understand hiring needs, role requirements, team dynamics, and what success looks like for each position.
  • Manage account-related administrative activities, including job documentation, CRM updates, interview logistics, and tracking open searches.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships by uncovering additional hiring needs, new departments, or areas where Carex can add value.
  • Collaborate with Healthtech leadership on account strategy, relationship development, escalations, and long-term account growth.
  • Help create an exceptional partner experience that builds trust, drives repeat business, and positions Carex as a valued recruiting partner.

Healthtech Practice Growth & Team Collaboration

  • Stay curious about the healthtech industry, including emerging startups, funding announcements, hiring trends, and new technologies.
  • Jump into other areas of the business as needed — whether that’s social media content, thought leadership, partner outreach, networking events, Bullhorn administration, or improving internal processes.
  • Bring new ideas to the table and look for opportunities to make our team, processes, and partner experience even better.

We’re an all-hands-on-deck team, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in recruiting, talent sourcing, account management, customer success, or a relationship-driven sales environment.
  • A background in healthtech, pharma, or similar healthcare industry, and the desire to learn the ins and outs of healthtech start-ups.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in understanding people, businesses, and what makes them successful.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for asking thoughtful questions, listening closely, and building trust.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset. You’re someone who takes initiative, follows through, and doesn’t need to be reminded of the next step.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple searches, candidates, and partner priorities simultaneously.
  • A strong sense of urgency and pride in delivering high-quality work and exceptional service.
  • Confidence communicating with hiring managers and business leaders, or the enthusiasm to develop those skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
  • A collaborative, team-first mentality and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • Familiarity with Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, or other recruiting and CRM tools is a bonus.
  • Bonus points for a strong GIF game (we’re a fun team, even when remote ?).
