Oracle ERP Functional Consultant – Process Manufacturing
Location: Green Bay, WI (2/3 days per week)
Summary
Carex is partnering with a Manufacturing industry partner to identify an experienced Oracle ERP Functional Consultant – Process Manufacturing to support the transformation, optimization, and enhancement of enterprise business processes across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Costing, Quality, and Finance.
This role requires deep functional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, with hands-on experience transitioning from Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud within a process manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of batch manufacturing, inventory management, production planning, and end-to-end supply chain operations, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, technical teams, and external partners, this consultant will drive ERP transformation initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and support continuous business process improvements.
What You’ll Do

Lead functional analysis, solution design, configuration, and optimization of Oracle ERP applications supporting process manufacturing operations.

Support Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP transformation initiatives, including business process assessment, fit-gap analysis, solution design, testing, and deployment.

Configure and enhance Oracle ERP modules across Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost Management, Quality, and related Finance functions.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and translate operational needs into scalable Oracle ERP solutions.

Optimize end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Plan-to-Produce, Inventory Management, Production Planning, and Cost Management.

Support process manufacturing capabilities such as batch production, formula management, lot traceability, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with technical teams and third-party vendors to support integrations between Oracle ERP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Production Planning & Scheduling, Quality Management, and Warehouse Management systems.

Develop functional specifications, business process documentation, test scenarios, and user acceptance testing (UAT) plans.

Coordinate system testing, deployment readiness, end-user training, and post-implementation support activities.

Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable functional improvements.

Identify opportunities to streamline manufacturing and supply chain processes, improve data accuracy, and strengthen operational controls.

Provide functional guidance and recommendations aligned with Oracle ERP best practices and business transformation objectives.
What You’ll Bring

12+ years of experience as an Oracle ERP Functional Consultant, with extensive expertise in Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.

Hands-on experience in process manufacturing environments is required, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and associated ERP processes.

Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP migrations or transformations.

Strong functional expertise in one or more Oracle ERP areas, including Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost Management, Quality, or Finance.

Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, Inventory Management, and Cost Management.

Experience configuring Oracle ERP solutions, conducting fit-gap assessments, and developing functional specifications.

Strong understanding of batch manufacturing, formula and recipe management, lot tracking, inventory traceability, and quality management processes.

Experience facilitating business workshops, gathering requirements, conducting UAT, and supporting ERP implementations or enhancements.

Ability to collaborate effectively with business users, Product Owners, technical teams, and third-party vendors.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable ERP solutions.

Preferred: Experience in Dairy, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Consumer Goods, or other process manufacturing industries.

Preferred: Experience integrating Oracle ERP with PLM, MES, Production Planning & Scheduling, Warehouse Management, or Quality Management applications.

Preferred: Familiarity with manufacturing regulatory compliance, product traceability, and quality assurance requirements.

Preferred: Oracle ERP functional certifications.
