Carex is partnering with a healthtech partner to hire a Part-Time Contract Project Manager to lead an end-to-end legacy data archive migration to the OneSecure platform. This role will own migration planning, cross-functional stakeholder coordination, execution oversight, data validation, cutover, and legacy system decommissioning within a healthcare SaaS environment with active HIPAA and HITRUST compliance requirements. This is a focused, part-time, time-boxed engagement requiring a Project Manager who can independently drive a complex technical migration while maintaining clear documentation, strong governance, and executive-level visibility throughout the project lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Build, maintain, and own the comprehensive migration project plan, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and RACI.
- Coordinate activities across IT, Security and Compliance, Legal, Professional Services, and the OneSecure implementation team.
- Establish and manage a regular communication cadence, including project status updates, stakeholder meetings, and steering check-ins.
- Maintain visibility into project health through live status reporting, risk and issue tracking, dependency management, and timely escalation to executive stakeholders.
- Oversee data validation and reconciliation between the legacy environment and OneSecure to help ensure migration completeness and accuracy.
- Develop and manage cutover and go-live plans, including sequencing, readiness criteria, contingency planning, and a documented rollback strategy.
- Ensure appropriate chain-of-custody records, audit trails, approvals, and supporting documentation are maintained throughout the migration.
- Coordinate external vendors and third-party platform stakeholders to ensure deliverables, timelines, and technical dependencies remain aligned.
- Drive the legacy system decommissioning and sunset process following successful migration, validation, stakeholder approval, and sign-off.
- Ensure the migration concludes with complete documentation, validated data reconciliation, and no unresolved critical issues at project close-out.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience managing data migrations, infrastructure initiatives, or similarly complex technical projects.
- Direct experience with OneSecure or a comparable secure data archiving, governance, or migration platform.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving HIPAA-regulated healthcare data.
- Experience working within SaaS, enterprise technology, healthcare technology, or similarly complex technical environments.
- Proven experience coordinating external vendors, implementation partners, and third-party technology platforms.
- Strong project management capabilities across timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, stakeholder alignment, and executive communication.
- Experience using project management platforms such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or equivalent tools.
- Experience using Confluence or comparable documentation and knowledge-management platforms.
- Ability to operate effectively in hybrid Agile and Waterfall project environments.
- Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and technical project governance.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed audit-ready project documentation in a compliance-focused environment.
- Prior OneSecure implementation experience is highly preferred.
- Healthcare or health IT SaaS experience is preferred.
- HITRUST audit or compliance experience is preferred.
- Experience with data governance or archiving technologies is preferred.
- PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent project management certification is a plus.
