Summary
Carex is partnering with a chemical engineering industry partner to hire a Global Product Manager responsible for driving business results and achieving growth objectives through program expansion across Fragrance, Phase Change, and Carbonless market segments. This role will collaborate closely with business unit leadership to develop and execute strategic objectives and plans that support long-term growth.
The Global Product Manager will connect technical capabilities and technologies with evolving market and customer needs, build compelling business cases, and develop execution plans that deliver measurable results. This position requires a strategic, commercially focused leader who can successfully lead customer programs and cross-functional initiatives in a global environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers, including key decision-makers and senior stakeholders, while identifying new approaches to drive growth within target markets.
- Develop trusted customer relationships and serve as a key point of contact and relationship owner.
- Help develop technology, marketing, and sales plans that leverage technical differentiation, data-driven pricing strategies, and other approaches to increase market share.
- Support the development and negotiation of customer agreements, including confidentiality, development, supply, and quality agreements.
- Support the development and execution of the Fragrance strategic plan.
- Lead assigned components of Fragrance strategy deployment initiatives and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
- Manage project communications through meetings, conference calls, recurring reports, presentations, and other stakeholder updates.
- Manage quarterly price list updates with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Partner with Price Owners to support quarterly pricing updates and related activities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Product Line Managers to maintain accurate global forecasts throughout the year.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams to monitor order status and facilitate execution.
- Partner with Technical and Development teams on technical service requests, product development initiatives, and related customer activities.
- Collaborate with Legal to facilitate supply agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documentation.
- Translate customer and market insights into value propositions, business cases, commercial strategies, and actionable growth plans.
- Balance market strategy development with direct field validation and business development activities.
- Work effectively across global, cross-functional teams to advance customer programs and achieve financial targets.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take accountability for business performance and results.
- Experience engaging customers and market experts to uncover insights and translate findings into effective marketing and commercial strategies.
- Ability to operate in a hybrid role that combines market strategy with field-based validation and business development.
- Strategic approach to value proposition development and positioning.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute initiatives designed to achieve financial and growth targets.
- Strong customer relationship-building, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
