Carex is partnering with a healthcare technology organization to find an experienced Product Manager to lead digital health initiatives for enterprise healthcare clients. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, EHR workflows, and software delivery. You’ll work directly with clients and cross-functional delivery teams to understand business needs, establish product priorities, and guide solutions from early discovery through implementation and continued improvement. A strong understanding of optometry EHR workflows and solutions is an important part of this role. The right candidate should be comfortable working with products that integrate with EHR platforms and other healthcare applications and understand the practical challenges of introducing new technology into established clinical and operational environments. This is a highly client-facing role for someone who brings strong product judgment, technical acumen, and the ability to create structure within complex initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead product initiatives from discovery through development, implementation, and continued iteration.

  • Develop product strategies, roadmaps, priorities, and release plans based on client objectives and user needs.

  • Lead discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements gathering, and workflow analysis.

  • Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, MVP scope, and supporting documentation.

  • Work with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to understand optometry and healthcare workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Define requirements for integrations with EHR platforms, healthcare applications, APIs, and related data services.

  • Help document integration workflows, data exchanges, system behaviors, and technical dependencies.

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, QA, and implementation teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements for technical teams and technical considerations into clear language for business stakeholders.

  • Evaluate product decisions against customer value, business priorities, technical constraints, and healthcare requirements.

  • Manage competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and shifting stakeholder objectives.

  • Validate delivered functionality with users and stakeholders and use feedback, testing, and product data to guide future improvements.

  • Serve as a trusted client partner across both technical and nontechnical audiences.

What You’ll Bring

  • 7+ years of Product Management or Product Ownership experience, ideally within healthcare, digital health, enterprise software, or another complex technology environment.

  • Direct experience with optometry EHR workflows, solutions, or products.

  • Experience leading products or major product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration.

  • Practical experience with EHR integrations, healthcare systems, or healthcare interoperability.

  • Familiarity with APIs, application integrations, and data exchange between enterprise systems.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and the technology used by healthcare organizations.

  • Experience partnering closely with software engineering and UX teams.

  • Strong requirements definition, prioritization, and product documentation skills.

  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.

  • Ability to understand technical complexity and effectively communicate with engineering teams.

  • Confidence facilitating conversations with clients, executives, subject matter experts, and technical stakeholders.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, make decisions with incomplete information, and adapt as priorities evolve.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ophthalmology workflows in addition to optometry.

  • Experience with healthcare SaaS products or enterprise healthcare organizations.

  • Background in consulting or professional services.

  • Experience working with clinical or patient data.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or related Microsoft technologies.

  • Located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
