Carex is partnering with a Consumer Goods  Manufacturing industry partner to hire an SAP/Integration Solution Architect. This technical leadership role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale SAP and integration solutions that connect SAP platforms with critical business applications across the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SAP technologies, enterprise integration architecture, and modern integration platforms while translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions. This role partners closely with IT, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to drive digital transformation, optimize SAP landscapes, and ensure reliable data connectivity across enterprise systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end integration architectures connecting SAP and non-SAP applications across the enterprise.
  • Lead technical architecture sessions and develop scalable integration blueprints aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Design and implement integration solutions using SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, SAP BTP, IDocs, RFCs, APIs, and OData services.
  • Establish integration standards, governance, and best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Partner with business analysts and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout solution development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Guide development teams through complex technical challenges while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Support SAP landscape transformations, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Monitor and optimize integration performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Support incident management and production environments by providing expert technical guidance.
  • Create and maintain technical architecture documentation, interface specifications, integration flows, and operational runbooks.
  • Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and mentor technical teams on SAP integration technologies and architecture.
  • Evaluate emerging SAP integration capabilities and recommend innovative solutions that improve enterprise connectivity.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP technical architecture and enterprise integration development.
  • Extensive experience with SAP integration technologies including SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, SAP BTP, and SAP Integration Suite.
  • Strong experience supporting SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise SAP landscapes.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing complex enterprise integration solutions.
  • Deep understanding of SAP data structures, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, REST, SOAP, OData services, and middleware technologies.
  • Experience with API management, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming and debugging.
  • Experience working with XML, JSON, XSLT, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
  • Familiarity with security protocols including OAuth, SAML, SSL, and enterprise authentication methods.
  • Experience with version control systems, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and integration lifecycle management.
  • SAP integration certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, hybrid integration scenarios, and platforms such as Dell Boomi or MuleSoft is a plus.
  • Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud integration services is preferred.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and business audiences.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience guiding technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritize competing initiatives while working independently in a remote environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and delivering scalable enterprise solutions.
