Carex is partnering with a public benefit corp healthtech startup partner to hire a Senior Product Manager, AI & Data Products. The ideal candidate resides in an EST or CST time zone and is designed for an experienced product leader who is passionate about building AI-driven products that solve complex, real-world problems and turn data into decisions that matter. As the organization scales its AI and behavioral intelligence platforms, this role will play a critical part in defining product direction, owning the roadmap, and building foundational capabilities in close partnership with leadership, engineering, and data science teams. What You’ll Do
- Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for AI and data products that power behavioral intelligence platforms.
- Lead 0-to-1 and early-stage product initiatives, taking ambiguous problem spaces and converting them into clear product opportunities with measurable outcomes.
- Drive product-market fit for emerging solutions by identifying customer needs, validating demand, and iterating quickly.
- Define target customers, business models, and delivery modalities for new data products.
- Partner deeply with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to bring machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics into scalable production products.
- Work closely with leadership as a strategic thought partner on long-term product vision and growth opportunities.
- Conduct product discovery with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure solutions align with real workflows, decisions, and market needs.
- Design products where AI outputs are interpretable, trusted, actionable, and practical for end users.
- Own end-to-end execution, including problem framing, prioritization, defining KPIs, launch planning, iteration, and scaling.
- Help establish product management best practices and raise the bar for how AI-powered products are built and evaluated.
- Prioritize cross-functional initiatives and help teams execute quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 10%, primarily for internal strategy meetings.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of experience in a product-focused role, with broader experience in product management, strategy, consulting, analytics, engineering, or data science.
- Proven success owning and shipping complex software, data, or analytics products in ambiguous, startup, or early-stage environments.
- Experience building 0-to-1 products and guiding them toward product-market fit.
- Consulting background highly valued.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, healthcare data, or adjacent regulated environments.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect customer needs, market opportunities, and business outcomes.
- Strong technical fluency and comfort partnering with engineers and data scientists on AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systems.
- Ability to translate complex data models or analytical outputs into products users understand and trust.
- Strong prioritization skills with the ability to move multiple initiatives forward under changing conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Intellectual curiosity and excitement about AI, including the ability to identify innovative applications beyond process improvement.
- Comfortable with iteration, experimentation, and learning through testing.
- Collaborative, low-ego approach with strong ownership mentality and willingness to move quickly.
