Carex is partnering with a Healthcare industry partner to hire an SOP Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving operational and clinical standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support consistency, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented technical writer and process documentation expert who can collaborate across departments to create clear, standardized documentation while ensuring processes remain audit-ready and aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Contract Duration: 1 year

Compensation: $40-50/hr
 

What You'll Do

  • Develop, document, and maintain operational and clinical standard operating procedures (SOPs) by gathering requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, mapping workflows, and translating business processes into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Review, edit, and standardize existing SOPs, policies, work instructions, and process documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct process audits and documentation reviews to identify compliance gaps, process deviations, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with operational, clinical, quality, and functional teams to ensure processes are thoroughly documented, consistently followed, and audit-ready.
  • Establish and maintain document control practices, including version management and document lifecycle updates.
  • Ensure SOPs reflect current business practices, regulatory expectations, and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture process knowledge and incorporate feedback into documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline documentation and standardize processes across teams.
  • Maintain organized documentation repositories and support document accessibility for internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience developing, editing, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies, or controlled documentation.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, and document management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex operational or clinical processes into clear, concise, and easy-to-follow documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and document workflows.
  • Knowledge of document control, compliance, and regulatory documentation best practices.
  • Experience conducting process audits, documentation reviews, or compliance assessments is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
