Carex is partnering with a Biotechnology industry partner to hire a Sales Account Manager located in the United States.
Summary
The Sales Account Manager will oversee the management of reactive accounts and select proactive strategic accounts, driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth through a blend of technical acumen and strategic engagement. This role requires a proactive mindset for developing strategic account plans, fostering strong customer relationships, and implementing targeted sales initiatives. Additionally, the Sales Account Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in regional activities while mentoring newer colleagues.
What You’ll Do

Manage a portfolio of reactive accounts by providing prompt technical and sales support, coordinating with internal teams to meet customer needs.

Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for proactive accounts, engaging key opinion leaders and aligning solutions with customer objectives.

Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., technical services, marketing, customer service, R&D) to ensure a unified customer experience.

Create pricing strategies and manage purchasing contracts, quotes, and consignment arrangements in alignment with strategic goals.

Utilize CRM tools and dashboards to maintain account records, track customer interactions, and analyze data for informed decision-making.

Support regional initiatives, including customer touchpoints, product beta testing, webinars, and strategic projects.

Mentor junior team members, offering guidance in sales strategy, CRM use, and customer engagement.

Lead customer meetings with structured sales plans, call strategies, and detailed documentation.

Stay informed on competitive activity and market trends, sharing insights with leadership to influence broader strategy.

Represent the organization with professionalism, advocating for customer needs and internal excellence.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred), with hands-on lab experience in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or Protein Biochemistry.

At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing sales role or equivalent.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans with measurable outcomes.

Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data tools such as Power BI.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer engagement.

Effective time management skills to balance high volumes of interactions with long-term account development.
