Carex is partnering with a leading Midwest based finance/insurance partner to find a creative and detail-oriented UX Designer to join the Digital Communications team, with a strong emphasis on dotcom design. This role is responsible for crafting intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that align with brand standards and support business goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in UX principles, web design best practices, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and iterate user experiences for dotcom properties, ensuring usability, accessibility, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Collaborate with content strategists, developers, and marketing stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive interface designs.

  • Develop wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that guide the implementation of cohesive digital experiences.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and refine existing experiences.

  • Apply and maintain brand and design system standards across all web assets to ensure consistency and scalability.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide clear rationale for design choices based on user behavior and data.

  • Stay current on UX trends, web technologies, and evolving best practices to continuously improve the user experience.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of UX design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in web-based design projects.
  • Strong proficiency in UX tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
  • A/B testing for user-experience design, Google Analytics and Power BI to make design decisions preferred
  • Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web development principles.

  • Experience designing for large-scale, consumer-facing websites or dotcom platforms.

  • Ability to interpret data and research insights to inform design strategy.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including content, marketing, and development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
