Carex is partnering with an insurance industry partner to find a seasoned Project Manager Contractor to lead and coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams within the insurance and financial services space. This contract role is ideal for a strategic and detail-oriented professional with demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives across actuarial, finance, accounting, and compliance domains.
What You’ll Do

Lead and manage multiple project workstreams across actuarial modeling, financial reporting, accounting operations, investment management, and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with stakeholders across underwriting, risk, finance, legal, and compliance teams to align deliverables and ensure on-time completion of project milestones.

Document and maintain project history, decisions, and key deliverables to support transparency and ensure continuity across workstreams.

Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk registers, and communication logs to drive consistent execution and stakeholder visibility.

Facilitate regular project status meetings, proactively identify and escalate risks, and ensure accountability and progress across cross-functional teams.

Ensure all project efforts align with internal governance standards and adhere to regulatory requirements, including NAIC, SOX, IFRS, and GAAP.
What You’ll Bring

5+ years of project management experience, specifically within insurance or financial services environments.

Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple business areas with competing priorities.

Familiarity with actuarial processes, financial systems, and industry regulatory frameworks.

Strong communication and documentation skills, with a proven ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.

PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
