Carex is partnering with a leading biotech industry partner to find an Associate Product Manager/BA with a strong background in lab or healthcare-adjacent industries. This role will lead a lab systems strategic initiatives, and other product-driven projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep project management expertise, an understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and experience managing Agile-based delivery in a complex, cross-functional environment.
While fully remote work is supported, candidates based in the Madison, WI area are preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with product managers to define product vision, roadmap, and success metrics.
- Gather and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, user research, and data analysis.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Work closely with engineering, design, QA, and other teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
- Analyze product performance and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and product demos.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-launch analysis.
- Maintain product documentation and ensure alignment across teams.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma/GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

5+ years of broad-based business analyst or product management experience, preferably working with lab systems.

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and product-centric project delivery.

Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business audiences, and influence outcomes through collaboration and leadership.

Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and lead through complexity in a matrixed environment.
