Carex is partnering with a global manufacturing partner to hire a ServiceNow Lead Developer for a Direct Hire hybrid role. This opportunity requires on-site presence three days a week at one of the following U.S. locations: Oshkosh, WI; Hagerstown, MD; or McConnellsburg, PA. Travel is minimal, with occasional conferences or annual team gatherings at headquarters.
Summary
As a ServiceNow Lead Developer, you will serve as a key technical leader, architecting and developing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to align with enterprise strategies and business goals. You will drive innovation, ensure platform performance, and foster a culture centered on agility, results, and customer obsession.
What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure ServiceNow solutions.

Lead enhancements and upgrades of the platform, including semi-annual updates.

Optimize usage of ServiceNow modules including ITAM and ITOM for operational efficiency.

Provide effective support for platform operations including incident response and root cause analysis.

Translate business requirements into technical deliverables through close stakeholder collaboration.

Apply Agile and SDLC methodologies to manage project delivery.

Document architecture, data flows, configurations, and code to maintain platform traceability.

Partner with ITOM, ITAM, and CMDB teams to advance discovery, automation, and asset management.

Ensure compliance with platform performance and security standards.

Lead strategic projects and drive business process optimization initiatives.

Guide integration best practices using REST, SOAP, JSON, and API standards.

Educate stakeholders and present innovative design solutions across business units.

Act as a catalyst for process optimization and innovation in technology strategy.
What You’ll Bring

5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development or implementation.

Deep knowledge of web technologies including REST/SOAP APIs, HTML, and JavaScript.

Hands-on experience with ITSM and ITOM modules.

Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, and financial planning frameworks.

Leadership capabilities including coaching, delegation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field preferred.

7+ years of experience managing enterprise IT platforms and integrations.

ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer or Implementation Specialist preferred.

Experience with AI/ML-driven automation and self-service technologies is a plus.

Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
