Carex is partnering with a global manufacturing partner to hire a Sr. Electrification Engineer located in a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite.

Summary

This contract role will support the integration of high voltage systems into advanced vehicle platforms. This role focuses on electrification at the vehicle level, with hands-on responsibility for integrating and supporting electro-hydraulic components, energy storage systems, and high voltage technologies. The ideal candidate will bring experience across a wide range of vehicle applications, including defense and specialized systems, with a focus on full-system integration rather than individual component development.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and integration of high voltage components into heavy-duty and specialized vehicles

  • Perform system-level engineering analysis and develop electrical architectures aligned with program requirements

  • Integrate electro-hydraulic systems and power electronics into vehicle platforms

  • Participate in development, testing, and refinement of embedded control systems

  • Provide technical guidance during prototype and production builds to ensure quality and functionality

  • Collaborate across engineering teams and with external suppliers to ensure project alignment and execution

  • Support and mentor junior engineers and designers on assigned projects

  • Prepare documentation, calculations, and technical reports that align with engineering standards and project goals

  • Engage in diverse electrification projects across various platforms, contributing to innovative and mission-critical vehicle solutions

What You’ll Bring

  • U.S. Citizenship (required)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle electrification or related high-voltage system integration

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle-level system integration and electrical architecture design

  • Hands-on experience with electro-hydraulic pump integration or similar technologies

  • Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocols

  • Understanding of energy storage systems and power electronics

  • Ability to interpret technical data and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams

  • Experience in defense or mission-critical vehicle applications preferred

  • Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s) is a plus
