Carex is partnering with a well respected healthcare system to find a Sr. Epic Application Analyst – EpicCare Ambulatory based in the Twin Cities area. This position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of the EpicCare Ambulatory application. This person will also have the ability to cross-train and certify in other application areas. The role works closely with operational leaders, end users, vendors, and IT teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and organizational standards while enhancing patient care and safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and maintain the EpicCare Ambulatory application, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational needs.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clinical leaders, IT personnel, and vendors, to deliver reliable, compliant solutions.

  • Provide end-user support and system troubleshooting to maintain seamless application performance.

  • Evaluate user needs and translate them into effective system specifications.

  • Utilize software tools to build, configure, and manipulate data within the EpicCare system.

  • Analyze and optimize integrated workflows across clinical environments.

  • Stay current with new Epic modules and organizational updates to proactively adapt the application.

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be located in the Twin Cities area.

  • EpicCare Ambulatory Certification (Required); additional certifications in Research, Genomics, Healthy Planet, or Dorothy (Preferred) or willingness to cross-train and certify.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in a hospital or clinic healthcare setting or with an EHR vendor, including support of EHR applications and clinical workflows.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare or financial software systems.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including clinicians and administrative staff.

  • Skilled in translating business requirements into high-level technical solutions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Project) or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and a strong aptitude for learning new tools and systems.
