Carex is partnering with a healthtech industry partner to find a Senior Cloud Engineer! This remote role is ideally based in Madison, WI, Austin, TX, or Chicago, IL. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll join a vibrant and forward-thinking team leveraging modern technology to solve real-world challenges. The ideal candidate is passionate about problem-solving, excited to work across a variety of technologies, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do

Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications on the Azure platform, delivering innovative and scalable solutions.

Utilize Azure cloud expertise to manage and optimize cloud-based applications for performance, security, and efficiency.

Develop and maintain high-performance applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, and Azure Function Apps.

Implement DevOps best practices including containerization and automated deployment pipelines.

Monitor system performance, analyze application telemetry, and proactively address potential issues.

Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
What You’ll Bring

5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native applications.

Proven experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms.

Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript.

Experience with Azure Function Apps or other serverless platforms.

Strong background in system design including scalable architectures, secure integrations, and third-party API connections.

Bonus: Experience with React or other modern web frameworks.

Bonus: Familiarity with Epic Health Systems, Electronic Health Records (EHRs), HL7 standards, or related healthcare interoperability protocols.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation
$140,000–$160,000 base salary, plus equity.
