Carex is partnering with a financial services industry partner to hire a Project Manager located in Madison, WI. This mid-level role is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional enterprise projects that align with strategic and business unit goals. The Project Manager will coordinate efforts across teams, manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project management, business analysis, and change management expertise, with a proven ability to foster stakeholder trust and deliver high-impact solutions.
What You’ll Do

Manage medium to large cross-functional projects using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) when applicable

Lead stakeholder engagement, change management efforts, and communication plans

Partner with Project Sponsors to align project outcomes with organizational goals and benefit realization

Assign and manage project resources, timelines, and budgets, and oversee vendor relationships

Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting, including issue logs and decision records

Conduct current and future-state process analysis and document user stories, use cases, and technical requirements

Lead user acceptance testing, create test scripts, and manage defect resolution

Champion data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement

Support internal project management process enhancements and mentor junior team members

Train and guide project teams and stakeholders on project methodologies and tools
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience

4–5 years of project management leadership experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor negotiation skills

Experience with business analysis, including requirements gathering and documentation

Familiarity with process improvement tools (e.g., Visio, Miro)

Agile certifications (Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance) and PMP or equivalent certification preferred

Experience in financial services or similar regulated industry preferred

Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills
