Carex is partnering with BioTech industry partner to find an IT Application Analyst specializing in Beaker (Epic) to join their team in Madison, WI. This role will focus on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the Beaker laboratory information system to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant lab operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Beaker configuration and workflows, along with hands-on experience in IT change management processes to ensure successful system updates, releases, and enhancements.
What You’ll Do

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Epic Beaker modules, including configuration, validation, testing, and troubleshooting.

Collaborate with laboratory and clinical stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into effective system solutions.

Participate in and manage change control processes, ensuring that all system modifications follow established governance and documentation standards.

Coordinate, document, and execute system upgrades, patches, and new functionality implementations in alignment with IT and lab operations.

Serve as a liaison between technical teams, end users, and vendor resources to resolve application issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Develop and maintain system documentation, including workflows, change logs, and configuration details.

Monitor system performance, identify potential risks or issues, and proactively propose solutions.

Assist in training and supporting end users on Beaker functionality and related process updates.

Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and data security standards.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven experience supporting or implementing Epic Beaker applications (certification or proficiency strongly preferred).

Strong understanding of change management methodologies and ITIL best practices.

Experience with configuration, validation, testing, and issue resolution within healthcare IT systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and clinical stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Familiarity with laboratory workflows, compliance requirements, and data integrity standards.
