Principal Clinical Lead, Precision Care AI
Location: Remote (Up to 30% travel)

Carex is partnering with a leading AI healthtech company to identify a Principal Clinical Lead, Precision Care AI. This highly visible role is primarily focused on thought leadership and customer-facing engagement, driving product adoption across health systems by building credibility with CMOs, CMIOs, CIOs, and other C-suite leaders.

The Principal Clinical Lead will serve as a clinical ambassador for an AI-enabled precision care platform, translating frontline realities into executive-level value narratives. While clinical validation and product collaboration are part of the role, the primary objective is accelerating adoption, particularly during pilot engagements and early sales cycles. This position is fully remote, with up to 30% travel, and is intended to be the individual’s primary professional focus. Limited clinical shifts to maintain licensure (e.g., for ED physicians or hospitalists) are acceptable.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage CMOs, CMIOs, CIOs, and other C-suite leaders to build trust, credibility, and adoption across health systems

  • Serve as a thought leader and clinical ambassador in executive briefings, conferences, and strategic client discussions

  • Participate in the sales process at the pilot stage, delivering compelling clinical narratives and product demonstrations

  • Articulate clear clinical, operational, and financial value propositions, including clinician time savings and measurable workflow impact

  • Observe product use in real-world clinical environments and translate insights into actionable feedback for product and cross-functional teams

  • Partner closely with the Clinical Informatics and Rhythm teams, as well as Product and Customer Success, to align clinical workflows with roadmap execution

  • Support expansion within existing health system partners and contribute to long-term clinical adoption strategies, with the potential for the role to evolve into a broader clinical adoption leadership function

  • When appropriate, contribute to clinical validation efforts to ensure accuracy, usability, and meaningful frontline impact

What You’ll Bring

  • 10–15+ years of clinical experience as a practicing physician, with active and recent hands-on care delivery

  • Background as a generalist physician strongly preferred (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist), with ED physicians and hospitalists particularly relevant

  • Experience across inpatient and/or outpatient settings

  • Deep familiarity with Epic clinical workflows; super-user level experience strongly preferred

  • Strong executive presence and the ability to confidently engage C-suite healthcare leaders

  • Demonstrated ability to connect clinical realities with technology-enabled solutions and communicate value in clear, compelling terms

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%

  • High ownership mindset, intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a drive to build and scale new models of care delivery
