Carex is partnering with a biotech industry partner to hire an eClinicalWorks (eCW) Workflow Consultant!

Location:  Madison, WI (+50% travel)
Duration:  3 months+ 

Summary
The eClinicalWorks (eCW) Workflow Consultant will work closely with Sales Account Managers (SAMs) and Strategic Solution Specialists (SSSs) to support healthcare organizations in optimizing their eCW workflows, configurations, and adoption. This role serves as a hands-on subject matter expert, partnering with internal teams and customers to assess workflow challenges, identify root causes, and deliver practical solutions. The consultant will frequently travel to customer sites, providing onsite support, troubleshooting, and best practices to improve adoption and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

  • Travel with SAMs and SSSs to customer sites, delivering workflow expertise and troubleshooting support.

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of eCW workflows, builds, and configurations to uncover gaps and inefficiencies.

  • Document workflow issues, technical challenges, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders and internal teams to design and implement effective solutions.

  • Act as an escalation liaison with eCW, leveraging industry relationships and contacts to resolve critical issues.

  • Provide training, knowledge transfer, and best practices to internal teams and customer staff.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the digital health strategy team.

  • Deliver clear and actionable reports and recommendations following site visits.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks, including workflow design, system build, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong understanding of clinical, operational, and administrative workflows in eCW.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve workflow issues in healthcare settings.

  • Familiarity with eCW escalation processes and existing industry contacts strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear, accessible way.

  • Willingness to travel extensively (50–75%) to customer sites.

  • A customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments.
