Application Analyst — Madison, WI (Hybrid)

Summary
Carex is partnering with a BioTech industry partner to hire an Application Analyst based in Madison, WI. This hybrid role will focus on supporting and enhancing business technology platforms by designing, configuring, upgrading, and improving assigned systems. The Application Analyst will serve as a primary support contact for end users, identifying and resolving issues, performing impact analyses, and ensuring system changes align with business objectives. This position is ideal for a proactive, analytical professional who thrives in cross-functional environments and enjoys leveraging technology to drive business value.


What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure, upgrade, and enhance assigned business applications following established processes and procedures.

  • Estimate the impact of requested system changes and guide workflow design to support business goals.

  • Configure, test, and document system updates while ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and software vendors to align business needs with technology solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and application-related issues, providing timely updates to users and leadership.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.

  • Partner with leadership and business teams to identify opportunities for workflow optimization.

  • Provide end-user support, manage issue tracking, and ensure clear communication on project or issue status.

  • Participate in system testing, validation, and deployment activities.

  • Demonstrate adaptability in dynamic business environments, effectively managing competing priorities.


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or equivalent experience (High School Diploma/GED plus 4+ years relevant experience).

  • 3+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery capacity.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general technical aptitude across business systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver solutions on time.

  • Adaptability and initiative to identify and resolve system inefficiencies.

  • Preferred: Experience configuring business systems in life sciences, healthcare, or related industries.
