Carex is partnering with a high growth healthtech partner to hire a highly skilled Implementation Engineer to support enterprise partners and internal teams throughout the post-sales journey. Seeking an individual who is an expert in Epic software integration. What You'll Do

  • Proactively assess technical requirements and infrastructure for new key accounts to ensure optimal environments that deliver the best end-user experience for clinicians.

  • Own and maintain technical documentation, including deployment guides, troubleshooting playbooks, and integration best practices for consistent partner use.

  • Lead the post-sales technical execution of deployments, ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and scalability within enterprise partner environments.

  • Collaborate with external partners, such as EHR vendors, to address enterprise partner needs.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including API connectivity, authentication, networking constraints, and data inconsistencies, to remove barriers to adoption and growth.

  • Proactively monitor key account metrics, including note generation speeds, to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate technical risks.

  • Develop comprehensive architecture documentation and become a technical expert in partner-specific deployments.

  • Act as the technical liaison between partners and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and effective problem resolution.

  • Partner with engineering to develop tooling that enhances real-time partner support capabilities.

  • Consult with Partner Success and Implementation Teams to identify deployment optimizations that drive efficiency and meet partner goals.

  • Provide strategic technical guidance to partners managing complex technical projects, including mergers, instance consolidations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.

  • Lead and coordinate after-hours technical support for key accounts to ensure successful updates or technical changes.

  • Advise on technical requirements and risks associated with new feature deployments requiring significant changes or integrations, and support teams in resolving technical issues arising from releases.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, API architectures, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT), and cloud infrastructure.

  • Ability to debug API failures, network issues (DNS, firewalls, load balancers), and distributed system integration failures.

  • Experience using tools like Postman, system logs, and Google Cloud Platform tools for diagnosing technical issues.

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a creative approach to solving complex technical challenges.

  • Ability to translate technical learnings into scalable, repeatable processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.

  • Passion for collaborating with customers to drive success.

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business-critical implementations with deep technical expertise.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience integrating with electronic health record (EHR) systems at large, complex organizations (Epic experience is a plus).

  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash, or SQL) to automate troubleshooting or technical solutions.

  • Experience working within environments requiring strict privacy and security protocols.

  • Knowledge of tiered support organizations and escalation processes.

This role requires up to 20% travel.
The position must be based in San Francisco.

Compensation
The expected compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $215,000. If the range doesn’t align with your needs, please still apply!
