Summary
Carex is partnering with a biotech industry partner to hire an experienced IT Project Manager for a 6-month contract. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating corporate IT projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while aligning with business objectives. The IT Project Manager will provide leadership, strategic direction, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions that meet organizational needs.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the execution of low to medium complexity projects, ensuring deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Lead project teams, acting as a problem solver to drive decisions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Consult with management and review project proposals to define goals, timelines, funding, staffing needs, and resource allocation.
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, adjusting as needed to accommodate evolving priorities.
- Monitor project progress against specifications, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Oversee project budgets and ensure compliance with governance and approval processes.
- Facilitate resolution of issues, manage risks, and ensure adherence to established project management practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration across business and technical teams.
- Prepare and present project plans, budgets, and creative solutions to senior management.
- Provide motivation, direction, and performance oversight to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or High School Diploma/GED with 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience as a project manager in business or IT functions.
- Proven leadership of high-performance teams and demonstrated success managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to apply strategic thinking and relationship management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience in managing both business and technical processes.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Preferred: Experience managing software development projects using agile methodology and PMI Project Management Certification.
