Carex is partnering with a healthtech startup partner to bring on a remote, part-time IT Support Specialist. This role is ideal for someone with solid technical troubleshooting abilities and a proactive, detail-oriented approach. The position is approximately 10 hours per week, offers flexible scheduling, and provides an opportunity to support critical IT functions for a fast-paced team environment.
What You’ll Do

Accurately document user-reported issues by creating and logging tickets in Jira Service Management or a similar platform.

Perform basic troubleshooting for common hardware, software, and network issues, such as password resets and software installations.

Manage user accounts across platforms including Active Directory, Office 365, and Entra, including account creation, disabling, and updates.

Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support teams as needed.

Provide support for standard desktop applications including Microsoft Office, web browsers, and other essential tools.
What You’ll Bring

Foundational understanding of Windows operating systems at a user level.

Basic networking knowledge, including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Familiarity with common hardware such as monitors, peripherals, desktops, and laptops.

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve straightforward IT problems independently.

Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Entra, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
Compensation
This is a W-2 consultant position, paying $40 – $56 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is remote with flexible scheduling, approximately 10 hours per week.
