Carex is partnering with a Manufacturing and Defense industry partner to hire a Marketing & Communication Project Manager for a newly created, onsite contract position! This role requires U.S. citizenship and approximately 10% travel to various tradeshows across the U.S.
Duration: 3 months, with potential to convert to a permanent role

Summary
The Marketing & Communication Project Manager will lead cross-functional, integrated marketing initiatives that elevate brand visibility across diverse business units. This strategic role requires a self-directed professional with a strong ability to create compelling narratives, manage high-impact campaigns, and deliver consistent, high-quality content across platforms. Success will demand navigating ambiguity, aligning complex ideas with business objectives, and producing results under tight deadlines.
What You’ll Do

Develop and execute marketing project plans aligned with business goals and brand standards.

Partner with internal stakeholders to craft clear, impactful messaging from technical inputs.

Manage content creation across digital, print, video, social media, and executive presentations.

Ensure brand consistency in tone, voice, and visuals across all marketing channels.

Lead projects from concept to execution, managing timelines, budgets, and creative resources.

Coordinate internal teams and external agencies while overseeing marketing deliverables.

Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered successfully and efficiently.

Track and report on KPIs to evaluate campaign performance and inform ongoing strategy.

Continuously improve marketing processes, adopting best practices for team effectiveness.

Support tradeshow planning and execution as part of campaign initiatives.

Contribute hands-on to visual content creation, including photography, videography, and editing.
What You’ll Bring

5+ years in marketing, communications, or project management in fast-paced or technical environments.

Proven leadership and ability to manage marketing projects from scope through execution.

Strong skills in visual content creation—photography, videography, editing, and graphic design.

Excellent writing and editing abilities with a flair for simplifying technical content.

Proficiency in digital marketing, web, and social media tools.

Experience working with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe software.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across teams.

Experience coordinating tradeshows and developing web content and campaigns.

Ability to measure effectiveness of communications and adapt strategies accordingly.

Passion for motorsports, automotive, or defense industries is strongly preferred.
