Carex is partnering with a packaged consumer goods industry partner to identify a Program Manager – Technology M&A who will lead end-to-end delivery of technology integration and separation activities tied to a major acquisition. This role is accountable for defining, sequencing, governing, and delivering all technology commitments on time while managing complex interdependencies across business, IT, and external partners. The Program Manager will serve as the central orchestration point across multiple technology workstreams, ensuring disciplined execution, proactive risk management, and clear executive visibility through Day 1 and post-close phases.
Pay Rate: $90-97/hr
Duration: Starting with 6 months, with the likelihood it will extend to 12 months
What You'll Do
- Own the full technology program plan, including scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical path
- Ensure Day 1 readiness and successful post-close execution across all impacted platforms and regions
- Drive delivery of all committed technology outcomes on time and within scope
- Build and manage integrated master schedules across multiple workstreams
- Orchestrate cross-functional delivery across ERP (SAP ECC / S/4HANA), Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, HR, Finance, Legal, Data & Analytics, Integrations, Infrastructure, and Security
- Serve as the primary coordination point between IT, business leadership, IMO, Finance, Legal, Security, and external vendors
- Align internal teams and system integrators to a unified execution cadence
- Establish governance frameworks, program cadence, and decision-making forums
- Identify and mitigate risks related to delivery, resourcing, sequencing, and dependencies
- Lead issue resolution and escalation with clear recommendations and trade-offs
- Track and manage TSAs, dependencies, and exit criteria
- Deliver concise, fact-based reporting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Translate complex technical topics into clear business insights
- Support executive communications, steering committees, and integration reporting
- Coordinate cutovers, transition planning, and stabilization efforts
- Ensure smooth operational handoff to business-as-usual teams post go-live
- Capture lessons learned to strengthen future M&A execution
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in program or portfolio management with ownership of large, complex technology initiatives
- Proven success leading technology workstreams within M&A, divestitures, or large-scale integrations
- Strong knowledge of enterprise technology environments including ERP, data platforms, integrations, and infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams under aggressive timelines
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Experience working with system integrators and third-party vendors
- Strong capabilities in risk management, dependency tracking, and decision facilitation
- Familiarity with TSA management, Day 1 and post-close planning, and separation strategies (preferred)
- Experience in data platforms, analytics, or digital transformation (preferred)
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Experience operating within an IMO or enterprise PMO structure (preferred)
