Description of Position

The Manager of Revenue Cycle is responsible for developing, administering, and coordinating all Revenue Cycle activities. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring timely and accurate billing of all claims, coding compliance, payment application, accounts receivable management, patient collections and performance/analytical reporting. The Manager is also responsible for implementing initiatives aimed at achieving financial and operational excellence. This position works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Our partner is a “remote-first” company and will consider applicants based anywhere in the United States.

What you’ll do:

Revenue Cycle Operations

  • Development of departmental policy/processes
  • Daily management of department and associated functions
  • Lead RCM implementation(s) across client base
  • Operationalize client and various payor contracts
  • Establish departmental training materials & program(s)
  • Review and resolve undistributed customer payments; initiate and authorize customer refunds
  • Manage insurance claim lifecycle and clearinghouse management.
  • Reconciliation of visits.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Implement, monitor and maintain defined financial controls
  • Monitor established KPI’s, assess performance, optimize processes and systems
  • Conduct required reconciliations
  • Facilitate departmental reporting
  • Participate as needed in auditing functions

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations i.e., patient registration, payor & patient billing, process reconciliation(s), treasury functions and customer service
    • Outpatient RCM experience required
  • 5+ years of working with Epic Resolute (PB Billing); Epic set-up and installation(s)
  • Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology
  • Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work; bring a positive attitude coupled with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction; apply effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with ease and efficiency; apply strategic judgement in demanding situations
  • Ability to work independently and be results oriented; a self-starter willing to try new ideas
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration/ related field or equivalent combination of education/related experience

Preferences

  • Operational experience in developing and managing a team
  • Successful performance in a highly matrixed organization
  • Proven vendor management relationships (clearinghouse, trusted commerce, payors, etc.)
  • Epic Access and Revenue Cycle Readiness Certification
    • Require 2 years of Epic Resolute experience, over 5 is preferred..
