Carex is partnering with a consumer goods industry partner to identify a highly creative, trend-savvy, and execution-focused Social Media Manager, Content & Operations. This individual will bring social media strategies to life through compelling storytelling, innovative content production, and seamless operational execution. The role is responsible for shaping engaging digital experiences across platforms while ensuring strong alignment with brand strategy, campaign goals, and day-to-day content management. This position requires a creative powerhouse who thrives in fast-paced environments, can translate strategy into action, and confidently demonstrates products on camera to deliver impactful, trend-setting content. Having a dog or access to a dog for social media posts/demonstrations is highly desired.

Compensation rate: $25-32/hr

What You’ll Do

Lead daily social media operations with a strong emphasis on content creation (approximately 60% of role)

Create thumb-stopping, platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including videography, photography, and static graphic design

Develop engaging social media content specifically focused on pet care and filtration products

Demonstrate products on camera in an authentic and engaging way (comfort being on camera is essential)

Utilize provided software tools along with mobile devices to capture and produce creative, high-quality videos

Monitor and manage the brand’s organic social handles, including community engagement and direct message interactions

Design static graphics and produce short-form videos while maintaining project timelines and publishing schedules

Write compelling captions and support proactive engagement strategies

Coordinate content production workflows, including asset requests, approvals, and scheduling

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, senior managers, and agency partners to ensure strategic alignment

Source and vet creator and user-generated content opportunities aligned with campaign objectives

Manage external creator relationships, including contracts, deliverables, timelines, and quality control in partnership with influencer teams as appropriate

Plan and execute social media campaigns, track performance, and identify optimization opportunities (approximately 40% of role)

Maintain content calendars across platforms to ensure consistency and strategic alignment

Monitor trends, emerging formats, and AI-assisted content production tools to inform and elevate content strategy
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field preferred

2–3+ years of experience in social media management with demonstrated success in campaign execution and operational coordination

Proven experience creating social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

Experience developing content for consumer products, including pet care and filtration products preferred

Having a dog or access to a dog for use in social media posts and demonstrations is highly desired

Strong graphic design, videography, photography, and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.); portfolio required

Experience using social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred)

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level direction into tactical execution

Comfortable interacting with senior managers and cross-functional leaders

Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal direction the majority of the time

Excellent copywriting and communication skills
