Carex is partnering with a BioTech industry partner to identify an SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Administrator who will support and optimize SAP cloud platform services across enterprise environments. This role will focus on platform administration, security, connectivity, and continuous improvement while supporting end users and business processes.
Summary
The SAP BTP Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining SAP BTP services, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments. This role combines platform administration with application support responsibilities, including troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and improving system performance. The position requires strong technical expertise in SAP cloud technologies, collaboration with stakeholders, and a proactive approach to platform governance and optimization. This is a hybrid role based in Madison, Wisconsin or Redwood City, California with an expectation of onsite presence three days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Administer SAP BTP environments, including global accounts, subaccounts, entitlements, and service lifecycle management
- Configure and maintain platform security, including identity services (IAS/IPS), role collections, and authentication protocols
- Manage connectivity services such as Cloud Connector, Destination Service, and Integration Suite
- Monitor platform performance, usage, and costs while enforcing governance standards and compliance
- Design, configure, and enhance business systems and platform capabilities using established processes
- Analyze requested changes, perform impact assessments, and implement system updates
- Troubleshoot application and platform issues, including cross-functional impacts, and drive resolution
- Serve as a primary support contact for end users and provide timely updates on issue resolution
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to align technical solutions with business needs
- Develop and maintain technical and system documentation
- Support workflow design, testing, and deployment of system enhancements
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and business processes through technology
- Participate in peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide training and support to end users and team members
- Ensure adherence to platform governance, security, and operational best practices
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience developing, configuring, or supporting technology solutions in an application or platform role
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP administration, including Cloud Foundry or Kyma environments
- Knowledge of SAP BTP security concepts, including IAS/IPS, SAML, OAuth, and identity provider integration
- Experience with SAP BTP connectivity and integration tools
- Understanding of SAP landscapes such as S/4HANA or ECC and general cloud architecture principles
- Ability to monitor systems, manage performance, and enforce governance standards
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general business tools
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs
