Carex is partnering with a Utility industry partner to find a detail-oriented Scheduler Application Specialist to support the validation and testing of job scheduling workflows during a migration from Tidal to Control-M. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all migrated schedules function accurately and reliably within the new Control-M environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with both Control-M and Tidal systems, with an emphasis on testing, troubleshooting, and validating batch job executions. This is a contract position and onsite in either Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA.
What You’ll Do

Test and validate job schedules migrated from Tidal to Control-M.

Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve execution discrepancies.

Develop and execute detailed test plans and scripts for workflow functionality.

Monitor job executions and analyze logs for successful completion and error handling.

Document test results, issues, and resolutions for compliance and audit purposes.

Support integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) of scheduling workflows.

Recommend improvements to enhance scheduling performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to job scheduling during the migration process.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Control-M and/or Tidal scheduling systems.

Proven track record in testing and validating batch job workflows.

Strong analytical skills and precise attention to detail.

Clear, concise communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to manage multiple testing priorities independently.

Preferred: Familiarity with both Control-M and Tidal tools.

Preferred: Understanding of ITIL practices and change management protocols.

Preferred: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and hybrid scheduling systems.
