Carex is partnering with a Finance/Insurance industry partner to find a dynamic and servant-minded Scrum Master to support the success and maturity of Agile teams. This role is essential in guiding teams through Agile and Kanban frameworks, promoting self-organization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced facilitator, coach, mentor, and change agent who builds strong connections across teams and drives high-value product outcomes through collaborative leadership.
What You’ll Do
Facilitate Agile Practices & Team Growth

Guide Agile teams in adopting and continuously improving Agile and Kanban practices.

Facilitate Scrum events and support the team in visualizing progress and achieving goals.

Teach and coach Agile teams on self-organization, cross-functionality, and value delivery.

Support the team in defining, reporting on, and meeting goals by actively removing impediments.

Create a safe and trusting team environment that encourages open feedback and effective retrospectives.

Help the team build high-value products through structured work decomposition and iteration planning.
Partner with the Product Owner

Support the Product Owner in communicating the product vision, scope, and domain knowledge to the team.

Collaborate with the Product Owner to optimize backlog prioritization, decomposition, and delivery of business value.

Guide Product Owners in applying newer backlog management techniques to maximize effectiveness.
Serve the Organization

Promote and support Agile values, principles, and practices throughout the broader organization.

Coordinate interactions and dependencies between Agile teams and enterprise stakeholders.

Support effective communication between Agile teams and conventional (non-Agile) departments.

Drive change that improves the productivity and cohesion of Agile teams across the enterprise.

Help teams align their delivery with organizational outcomes and customer impact.
What You’ll Bring

Practical experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role, with evolving knowledge of relevant products/domains.

Strong facilitation skills in backlog management, dependency mapping, and team coaching.

Ability to resolve team conflicts early, create psychological safety, and lead by example.

Strong understanding of Agile principles and servant leadership practices.

Proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders while promoting continuous improvement.

Skilled in teaching Agile techniques, fostering team collaboration, and aligning work with strategic goals.

High-energy approach with a passion for Agile, innovation, and delivering business value.

Preferred certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master.
