Carex is partnering with a biotech industry partner to find an experienced and collaborative Scrum Master for a 1-year contract opportunity. This role will support Agile teams, driving delivery excellence, fostering team collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement across product development initiatives.
Summary
The Scrum Master serves as an Agile team facilitator and servant-leader, responsible for guiding and supporting teams to deliver high-quality solutions through Agile practices. This role focuses on enabling collaboration, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Agile frameworks. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, coach, and change agent who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Do

Guide multiple Agile teams through all Scrum ceremonies, ensuring alignment with Agile principles and continuous delivery of business value.

Serve as a coach and mentor to the team and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum practices, promoting self-organization and accountability.

Partner with Product Owners to facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization based on business goals.

Identify, track, and remove impediments that impact delivery timelines or team performance.

Foster a culture of transparency, communication, and continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics tracking.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective integration and coordination with other Agile and non-Agile teams.

Support the team in identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and velocity.

Ensure compliance with established delivery frameworks and adapt processes as needed to meet project objectives.

Promote Agile maturity by introducing and refining tools, metrics, and practices that enhance team performance.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead supporting software or technology teams.

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and hands-on experience applying them in complex environments.

Proven ability to coach, mentor, and influence teams toward continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and working effectively across cross-functional teams.

Experience using Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
