Carex is partnering with a biotech industry partner to find an experienced and collaborative Senior Application Analyst – Cheers/MyChart to support critical initiatives within the organization’s Epic application suite. This role will focus on the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Epic Cheers CRM and MyChart modules, ensuring alignment between clinical, operational, and patient engagement goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep Epic experience, a strong understanding of healthcare workflows, and a proactive approach to enhancing patient and user experiences.  This role is hybrid in Madison, WI.


Summary

The Senior Application Analyst – Cheers/MyChart will serve as a subject matter expert for Epic’s patient relationship management and portal applications. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, designing and implementing application solutions, maintaining system stability, and optimizing workflows to support patient communications and engagement. The Senior Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams—including clinical operations, IT, and patient experience—to support ongoing system enhancements and ensure seamless integration across Epic modules.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary analyst for Epic Cheers CRM and MyChart, providing application configuration, maintenance, and end-user support.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement functionality that enhances patient engagement and communication.

  • Manage system configuration, upgrades, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with organizational standards.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure smooth integration of Cheers/MyChart with other Epic modules and third-party systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating complex problems as needed.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of application configurations, workflows, and change management processes.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for system optimization and workflow improvements, driving initiatives from design through implementation.

  • Provide end-user training and support, ensuring that system updates and new features are effectively communicated and adopted.

  • Participate in Epic upgrade cycles, regression testing, and validation activities to ensure system integrity.

  • Act as a key liaison between IT and operational departments, facilitating communication and understanding across technical and non-technical stakeholders.


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience as an Application Analyst in healthcare IT, with at least 3 years supporting Epic Cheers and/or MyChart applications.

  • Current Epic certification(s) in Cheers, MyChart, or related modules required (or the ability to obtain certification within an established timeline).

  • Strong understanding of patient engagement strategies, CRM workflows, and healthcare operations.

  • Experience managing configuration changes, testing procedures, and system documentation within a structured change management process.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, operational, and technical teams.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

  • Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in system design and delivery.
