Carex is partnering with a Technology Consulting partner to find a Senior Data Analyst based in Madison, Wisconsin. This role focuses on leading complex analytical projects, leveraging advanced programming skills, and driving data-driven decision-making. The position plays a key role in mentoring team members, improving processes, and delivering high-quality insights to support business and client needs.
Summary
The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for managing and executing advanced data analysis initiatives, ensuring data integrity, and translating complex business requirements into actionable insights. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and client interaction to solve real-world problems and optimize analytical processes.
What You'll Do
- Collect, clean, transform, and analyze complex datasets to support business objectives
- Validate data quality and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Develop and maintain cost models, support pricing initiatives, and contribute to reporting and productivity analysis
- Lead recurring processes and projects (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Mentor and guide analysts, providing feedback and training
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables through quality control of team outputs
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for analytical solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
- Collaborate with data engineers to uphold data standards and infrastructure needs
- Build strong client relationships, anticipate needs, and resolve complex inquiries
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, analytics, economics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, including project and client management
- Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL
- Experience working with large datasets and data warehouse environments
- Strong understanding of data analysis concepts, including data cleaning, aggregation, and visualization
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SAS, Power BI, or Tableau
- Knowledge of logistics or shipping industries preferred
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and drive process improvements
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship and ability to obtain required security clearance
