Technical Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)

About the Role
Carex is partnering with a financial services leader to identify a Technical Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting complex, enterprise-level initiatives. This role is designed for a seasoned analyst who can operate with minimal direction, influence solution design, and act as a trusted partner to both business and technology leaders.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping technical solutions, driving clarity across teams, and ensuring that business needs are translated into scalable, high-quality technology outcomes—with a clear path to full-time employment.
What You’ll Do
As a Technical Analyst, you’ll work at both the strategic and tactical levels, helping guide initiatives from concept through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead requirements discovery and analysis for complex business and technical initiatives

Partner closely with business leaders to understand strategic goals and translate them into technical solutions

Own the creation of detailed functional and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Serve as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, architects, and QA

Influence solution design and evaluate tradeoffs related to system architecture, integrations, and data flows

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts or team members as needed

Support testing efforts including test strategy, UAT coordination, and defect resolution

Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early; proactively recommend mitigation strategies

Drive continuous improvement in analysis practices, documentation standards, and delivery processes
What You’ll Bring

7+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Senior Business Systems Analyst, or similar role
-
Proven experience supporting enterprise applications, integrations, and data-driven systems

Strong understanding of application development lifecycles and Agile/Scrum methodologies

Ability to independently lead analysis efforts and influence outcomes across teams

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and technical teams

Strong documentation skills, including process flows, data mappings, and system diagrams

Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services or insurance is highly preferred
Nice to Have

Experience with APIs, system integrations, and modern application architectures

SQL or advanced data analysis experience

Exposure to cloud platforms and large-scale enterprise systems

Prior experience in a contract-to-hire or consulting environment
