Carex is partnering with an Insurance industry partner to find a hands-on Technical Architect with deep technical expertise and leadership capabilities. This role is ideal for someone ready to architect, implement, and support complex technology infrastructure while mentoring a growing Technical Operations team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of systems architecture, enterprise administration, and strategic guidance to ensure scalable and secure technology solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design and evaluate the overall technical architecture to support evolving business needs and strategic direction.
- Serve as the Technical Lead for enterprise-scale technology deployments, ensuring effective coordination and successful implementation.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to the Technical Operations team, strengthening internal capabilities and long-term sustainability.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to define future-state technology goals, contribute to strategic planning, and participate in budgeting processes.
- Lead system administration and security operations, implementing strong controls, optimizing resource utilization, and reducing organizational risk.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing enterprise-level technology infrastructure.
- Proven track record of architecting and deploying complex technical solutions.
- Expertise in developing architecture strategies, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
- Broad technical knowledge spanning infrastructure, application development, databases, and cybersecurity.
- Strong experience with networking and cloud infrastructure across multiple platforms.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and sound decision-making in high-impact scenarios.
- Clear, effective communication across technical and non-technical audiences, with a collaborative and mentorship-driven mindset.
